Recently there has been an overwhelming demand for the Miniature Donkey. In part because they are easy to raise, gentle and very loving. Each donkey has a unique personality and although miniature donkies make great family pets, because they are social animals, they still need the company of another miniature donkey to be truly happy.
The Miniature Donkey is a unique breed native to the Mediterranean Island of Sicily. The miniature donks are measured at the withers and should be no taller than 36.” They can weight approximately 250 pounds and live an average of 30+ years! Miniature donkeys also come in an array of colors and spotted patterns!
Miniature donkeys can thrive on small acreage making them ideal pets for families and small farms.
